BACKGROUND Strategies Against Flu Emergence (SAFE) is a three year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) implemented under the leadership of Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI). SAFE works with government, private sector, NGOs, community groups and other stakeholders to strengthen the capacity of the Government if Indonesia and its people to respond to AI and other emerging pandemic threats.

The Indonesia Urban Water Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH) project is a sixty-month program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented under the leadership of DAI. IUWASH works with government, the private sector, NGOs, community groups and other stakeholders to improve access to safe water supply and sanitation in Indonesia’s urban areas. The overall goal of IUWASH is to assist the Government of Indonesia (GOI) in making significant progress in achieving its safe water and sanitation Millennium Development Goal (MDG) targets by expanding access to these services. DAI is seeking Indonesian experts in clean energy. Ideal candidates will have experience and expertise in:

• Renewable power project development, finance and investment promotion – particularly biomass or hydro • Energy efficiency • Energy law, policy, and regulation • Expertise in contracts with PLN • Grants Management • USAID contract monitoring and evaluation specialist

Candidates should have: • An advanced degree in engineering, MBA, law, communications, or relevant discipline • At least 10 years relevant experience • Strong English skills • Energy experience with USAID or other donors is a plus
